Kansas State Fair

Please volunteer to assist at the KVMA /KSU Veterinary Medical and Birthing Center at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson on Sept. 6-15, 2013.

Help promote the Kansa veterinary profession by serving as an Ambassador at the Center during one or more of the four, three hour daily work shifts during the Fair’s 10 days. You will be provided with a gate pass, a map of the Fairgrounds, and helpful tips to aid you in your Kansas State Fair assignment.

This is the largest public awareness effort the KVMA holds each year. Approximately 90,000 Fair visitors are expected to drop by the Center and learn about the veterinary profession. You will find your experience as a KVMA Ambassador enjoyable and rewarding.

To reserve a time slot for your appearance at the Fair, sign up on the schedule and email it to kvma@sbcglobal.net or fax to 785-233-2534. You may also call Gary Reser at (785) 233-4141.

See you in Hutchinson in September!

Young people are always an important target demographic of the KVMA and K-State with their displays and demonstrations at the Center. These young ladies take a look at the baby pigs displayed at the KVMA/KSU Veterinary Medical and Birthing Center at the Kansas State Fair.
A mock surgery suite was added to the KVMA/KSU Veterinary Medical and Birthing Center in recent years and was set up next to the KVMA Wall of Honor. Young Kansas State Fair visitors took the opportunity to find their veterinarians on a map of Kansas at the Center.
